Ballack: I should have stayed at chelsea in 2010 .

Chelsea offered him a year contract but the German midfielder wanted two years which ultimately forced him to leave, a decision he regrets.

Chelsea's policy had to  offer one year contract for the players at the age of 30

"I wanted 2 more years instead of 1 and maybe I was wrong"

“Carlo Ancelotti wanted me [to stay] but the club made a decision to only give players of that age a one-year contract. I wanted two,” Ballack told Sky Sports'

“Today, I can say maybe it was wrong. I should have stayed, even for that one year.

“I could never imagine that I would go back to [Bayer] Leverkusen. Until the last day, I actually thought we would find a way at Chelsea. I was really hoping I could stay until the end.”



in 2006 Manchester united had interests to sign  Ballack but He refused their offer

Ballack " Manchester United were not as good as before and Chelsea were winning the league with Jose Mourinho"
